Run Treffer lookups in Clay with its HTTP API integration.

This page lists what goes into each Clay field, per endpoint. For adding the integration itself, follow Clay's HTTP API guide.

Email finder

Account

Header X-API-Key with your API key as value, saved as an HTTP API (Headers) account. One account serves every endpoint.

Copy-pasting these values doesn't work. In Clay, type / and pick the column from the menu. Keep the quotes around it.

Inputs: full_name, or first_name and last_name. Plus domain or company_name; the domain gives the more reliable match.

email, deliverability, found, credits_consumed Nested fields use dot paths. All fields are on the email finder page.

Response timeout (ms)

100000, the highest value Clay allows. We answer within 90 seconds.

Retry on failure

On, status codes to retry: 429, 503, max retries: 5. Both mean try again later and are never charged.

Rate limit

120 requests per 60000 ms, our limit for this endpoint.

Waterfalls

A hit and a miss both return HTTP 200, and a miss costs 0 credits. Return found and run your fallback provider only when it is false. Trying Treffer first costs nothing when we miss.
